Poetry - Life's Dictionary

Destiny is not an all-unfailing path,
But the trail we clear for ourselves.
Life is not the task of living,
But of letting others know you're alive.
Love is not about liking someone's looks,
But realizing the inside character.
Bravery is not found in the absence of fear,
But in being scared to death and still doing a job that needs done.
The future lies not in the time ahead,
But in what you make of it.

Well, it could be "scared to die," but here I'm just using "scared to death" to mean "really really afraid."
