Weary Traveler

I am just a weary traveler, wandering through life the best that I know how. I don't claim to know the answers, or even the questions. I am just living as well as I am able and leaving the rest to God.
I try to stick to my guns, and I do my best to stumble along through the obstacles barring my way. I am who I am, I do not deny it and I will not run from it. I will stand my ground and I will continue on my journey through life, one step after the other along this sometimes-lonely road called life.
In my travels I have met many people who have colored my life, for good or for bad. They've made things more interesting, and sometimes they've even made life more living. I have grown stronger on the way, sometimes lacking the strength to continue but never the determination to keep trying. I have learned many things, and I am proud of my place in the universe.
I am me. I will keep traveling this road of life until my road has ended. I will hold my head up high and I will remain loyal to those I have befriended. I will continue on this path of life despite the greatest setback. And when I go others will know I've done the best I could.
The joy is in the journey. That is where the beauty of life lies. Not on the destination, but on the journey. Stop and smell the flowers sometimes, because once you reach your destination you might not have the opportunity to do so anymore.

Life life to the fullest. I may be a weary traveler, but I am a happy one.

Well said, Elizabeth. It's sort of a gift to realize that the journey is life. That way we actually enjoy and live live as opposed to rush through it just to get to the destination.

That was supposed to be "enjoy and live life." It's still early in the morning for me.

It's true, really. I just had an experience like that today. Things start out bad, until you find a glimmer of hope. Then they get a lot worse and you wonder what in the world you're going to do (right after things were looking so nice, too!), until someone comes along and reaffirms your faith in the human race.
That was my day today. I'll write more detail once I eventually get back to my room. =)
